Real Estate Broker
Dan acquired his real estate license in 2003, and gained his broker license in early 2005. Currently, he owns Lake Lure Land, LLC, a real estate brokerage firm specializing in land sales. With over 200 subdivision parcels sold between 2004–2009, Dan also took time to develop an internet presence for his business. Merging talents of digital photography and creative design with new skills surrounding web authoring software and search engine placement has reinforced his real estate business.

Dan Hoffman Construction
In 2001, Dan formed a construction services business in Rutherford County, NC, focusing on residential repairs for real estate agents, with home values ranging from $130K to $400K. In many instances, some minor (and some not-so-minor) building issue prevented successful closings. Whether it was a loose stair railing, a rotted bathroom subfloor, or structural repairs to a foundation, Dan built a thriving business on requests from brokers, lenders and home owners.

Hoffman Reprographic Partnerships
Dan grew up in the printing trade, where he learned to see minute detail, later managing the various departments and tradesmen. In 2000, large format reproductions of engineering and architectural drawings was a pursuit being explored by his brother in Anniston, AL. The firm specialized in construction drawings, and Dan used his background to assist in the start-up phase of this venture.

Hoffman Brothers Construction
Dan co-founded a construction firm in Mobile, AL in 1981, generally focusing on residential and light commercial jobs. Occasionally lifting a hammer as required, he primarily supervised construction efforts, managing up to three crews at a time. With only word-of-mouth advertising, the firm built several homes, residential additions & renovations, including bidding and securing rehab work from the City of Mobile.

Rehab Contractor
One facet of the Hoffman Brothers business (above) was with the City of Mobile, in Alabama. Some homes in poor condition qualified for a city rehabilitation program, which was let out for bid to local contractors. Some of these included upgrades to meet the disability guidelines for handicapped persons. All work was required to meet HUD standards.
